Description
11" (28 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, painted lashes and brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth, pierced ears, kid bebe body with gusset jointing, bisque forearms and hands, partial costume elements. Condition: head not original to body, small repair at low neck socket, nose rubbed, kid darkened and somewhat weak at joints. Marks: F.G. (scroll) 1 (head) F.G.2 (shoulderplate). Comments: Gaultier, head is circa 1886, body and shoulderplate circa 1880. Value Points: very rare body designed for early period Gaultier head, a worthy project for preservation.
