Description
22" (56 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head, light brown painted hair with feathered details around the forehead, intaglio painted blue eyes, pronounced black pupils, white eyedots, brown upper eyeliner, single-stroke thick brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with downcast pouting lips, composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 9 7602 (Heubach sunburst mark) Germany (head) Germany Gimbel's (torso). Comments: Gebruder Heubach, circa 1910, the doll was commissioned for Gimbel's department store. Value Points: the handsome lad has wonderful bisque and artfully painted complexion, hair and features, antique woolen boy's suit, carrying antique fleecy and velvet dog, rare store label.
