Description
Comprising red & white checked body blouse with single white button, jeans in so-called clam digger length, straw hat with ribbon ties, red banding around the wide-brimmed edge and decorated with a large floral crown and a hidden frog, wedge shoes with red insoles, and with rare accessories including straw picnic basket and fishing pole with line, metal sinker and fish. In original, never opened, package with Barbie booklet and white tag on edge "#967. Picnic Set $4.50". The costume was from the original series and was offered for only a short time thereafter; the accessories are especially rare to find. Mint condition. Mattel, 1959.
