Description
10" (25 cm.) and 12". Each has carved wooden head and lightly tinted facial features, firmly stuffed muslin body, wooden hands; she has painted black hair brushed from face and captured triple-rolled chignon at back of head, held by two gold hair combs; he has darker complexion and painted black pate at crown. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Chinese Door of Hope mission circa 1920, depicting Amah and Young Man. Value Points: each wearing original hand-sewn costume.
