Description
12" (30 cm.) doll. All-felt doll with ball-shaped swivel head with painted "O" shaped eyes, tiny button nose, and attached felt cap , jointed arms and legs, and wearing original felt costume in the style of the French storybook character of Becassine. Included is white wool plush "Silly the Goose" with felt head and feet, flap wings. Condition: near mint. Marks: (original metal button on goose, original paper label on back costume of girl). Comments: R. John Wright, the pair were created for 2006 UFDC convention by the American artist in an edition of only 400 pieces (of which the doll is indicated as #17). Value Points: wonderfully imaginative design, yet true to original style, is perfectly preserved with vibrant colors, original certificates of authenticity, she with original box, goose with original red felt sack.
