Description
21" (53 cm.) w. x 15" x 10". The slant-front desk of very finely grained wood is embellished with rich foliage designs overall the front, and with dove-tailed drawers below the desk. The desk folds open to rest on pull-out supports and reveal the interior with further marquetry designs on the niches and drawers, including a secret panel, and very fine cast metal escutcheon and drawer pulls complete the fine cabinetry. Excellent condition. Probably American, early 1800s.
