14" (36 cm.) Bisque shoulderhead of slender-faced woman with up-tilted head, and elongated slender throat, blue glass sleep eyes, mohair lashes, painted lower lashes, single-stroke brows, closed mouth with center accent line, blonde mohair wig, slender kid pin-jointed body, bisque forearms. Condition: bisque and costumes excellent, repairs to kid body. Marks: 172 1 made in Germany. Comments: Kestner, circa 1910, from original illustrations by American artist Charles Dana Gibson depicting society women of that Edwardian era. Value Points: included with original trousseau comprising blue cotton dress, white silk dress, white cashmere two-piece ensemble, navy blue mariner costume, undergarments, and brown linen coat with frog closures and blue serge coat with black silk collar.
