21" (54 cm.) Bisque socket head with deeply-defined facial features, painted blue eyes, thick black upper eyeliner, one-stroke tapered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with very full pouting lips enhanced by decorative glaze, dimpled chin and lip corners, blonde mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent, few wig pulls at back crown rim. Marks: K*R 114 54. Comments: Kammer and Reinhardt, circa 1910, the model marketed as "Gretchen" from their art character series. Value Points: especially fine deep modeling enhanced by finest quality of bisque and painting, original body and body finish.
