17" (43 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-lined bisque shoulderplate, blue glass sleep eyes, mohair lashes, painted lower lashes, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils, open mouth, four porcelain teeth, original commercial twill stitch-jointed body, bisque forearms. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: S 1041-5 H (shoulderplate) SH 1039-5 dep (head). Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1895. Value Points: original mohair wig, sturdy original body, and wearing elaborate original traditional costume including grape emblems on vest lacing chains.
