Description
11" (28 cm.) Each has carved wooden head with carved and lightly tinted facial features, carved hair (Amah with chignon, baby with oval medallion of hair at crown), firmly stuffed muslin body, wooden hands. Condition: very good, costumes have some fading and child lacking pants. Comments: Chinese Door of Hope mission, circa 1925. Value Points: rare models depicting the caregiver Amah, and child. Also included is another Amah with original costume; the tunic shows much age darkening but has never been washed because it retains the pencil lettered name of doll or seamstress on backside of tunic.
