Description
18" (46 cm.) Bisque swivel head with slender elongated face, on bisque shoulderplate, brown glass sleep eyes, painted lashes, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils, open mouth, shaded lips, two square-cut upper teeth, pierced ears, kid gusset-jointed body, bisque lower arms. Condition: bisque excellent on head, shoulderplate and hands, some body wear. Marks: S 9 H 949 (head) S 8 H 941 (shoulderplate). Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1890. Value Points: original head and shoulderplate with fine gleaming complexion, expressive features. beautifully-sculpted hands.
