21" (53 cm.) All-cloth doll with oil-painted hair and face that is stitch attached over a muslin head form,double side seams with wide panel between the flat-dimensional front and back of head,painted short brown curly hair,painted complexion and facial features,large brown outlined eyes with ochre shading,brows,outlined nose,narrow lips,plump torso and legs,stitch-jointed arms,mitten hands with separate thumbs. Condition: good,with some fading and rubs on hair and face,body is patched and dusty. Comments: American,folk artist,early 20th century. Value Points: sweet gentle-faced doll with shy expression,wearing pretty antique dress,undergarments,stockings,shoes and bonnet.
