Black cotton sateen doll with elongated slender face,stitched wool fleece hair,embroidered white eyes with defined pupils,white eyeliner and stitched nose,white outlined lips,rag- filled body with stitch jointing at shoulders and hips. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: American folk art,late 19th century. Value Points: charming detail of facial embroidery,the doll wears antique costume and bonnet.
