Heavy twill cotton doll with stitched-on shoulder head,flat-dimensional face with stitched-on shaped nose,rounded back,side seams with inset panel allowing depth,oil-painted brown hair,outlined shaded blue eyes,thick dark eyeliner,dark eye shadow,accented nostrils,closed mouth with shaded lips,stitch-shaped body with inset seat at buttocks,stitch jointing at shoulders,hips and knees,unusual separated stubby fingers. Condition: generally excellent,some light paint rubs. Comments: American,age indeterminate. Value Points: wonderful characterization with artistic painting including painted ears on side panels,unusual stitched-on nose,wearing fine linen smock,pants,straw hat,boots,and with football badge,and brass-cased compass.
