14" (36 cm.) Firmly stuffed black sateen ball-shaped head with hand- painted facial details,very large outlined brown eyes,brows,full lips,black looped-wool wig,stitch jointing at shoulders and hips,black sateen torso and arms,green cotton sewn-on legs designed to be stockings,black sewn-on shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: American,probably commercial as indicated,early 1900s. Value Points: pristine preserved condition,antique costume,and holding a miniature lithographed doll.
