The all-cloth doll with bedpost-shaped head is stitch attached to unusual elongated throat,has stitch-shaped modeling of long slender nose and thick brows,painted complexion and features,outlined large brown eyes,closed mouth with full lips,brunette human hair,all-muslin doll with shapely torso,stitch jointing at shoulders,elbows,hips and knees,wearing fine antique dress,undergarments,shoes,bonnet. Condition: very good,original finish with paint rubs. Comments: American,circa 1880,by unknown folk artist. Value Points: naive charm achieved not only by loved play wear patina of the adventurous painting but also by unusual construction details of nose and brows.
