16" (41 cm.) One-piece carved wooden hound dog with upraised nose as
though for scent,black shoe button eyes,defined ears,and four legs
carved together as though two legs,defined carving of fur at tail
(top of tail missing) with original rubbed white paint,and mounted
on original wooden frame with four large wooden roller wheels. A
compelling folk art carving with original scrubbed finish of
paint,and ingenious make-do construction of wheels. American,mid-
19th century.
