Of black cotton sateen with oversized round shaped head,having large shoe button eyes over tinted eye whites,stitch- shaped nose and wrinkles,cotton applique mouth,stitched-on wiry hair,stitch jointing at shoulders,elbows,hips and knees,with stitch-defined fingers,and wearing antique dress,undergarments,church-lady bonnet with velvet flowers,boots,and photographic brooch. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: American,circa 1890. Value Points: imaginative use of found materials such as fabric applique lips and unusually large eyes on the captivating folk doll.
