20" (51 cm.) Bisque socket head with rich brown complexion, deeply-sculpted features, brown glass inset eyes, dark eyeliner, black painted curly lashes, incised eyeliner, thick black brush-stroked brows, upturned nose, open mouth, four porcelain teeth, pierced ears, black fleecy mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: S 12 H 739 dep. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1895. Value Points: rare model especially hard to find with brown complexion, this example having finest quality of bisque and complexion, original body and body finish.
