19" (48 cm.) All-muslin doll with flat-dimensional face having hand-painted facial features and hair,blonde painted curly hair with shaded details,painted blue eyes,black upper eyeliner with painted lashes,outlined nose with painted nostrils,closed mouth with accented lips,muslin doll with stitch jointing at shoulders,hips and knees,stitch-defined fingers. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: American,circa 1890,maker uncertain,in the Babyland Rag genre. Value Points: very fine painting of features,antique costume,and carrying her own little Dolly Varden doll,an amusingly designed original sewn-on cloth doll.
