29" (74 cm.) Very plump cloth doll with oil-painted face and hair,brown curly hair with wispy curls,small blue outlined eyes with painted lower lashes,brush stroked brows matching her hair,painted white nose,closed mouth with shaded lips,rag-filled body with stitch jointing at shoulders,hips and knees,mitten hands with separate thumbs. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: American,circa 1885,unknown folk artist. Value Points: unusual plump doll with tiny centered features,antique costume,pinafore,sunbonnet,medallion. Also included is a wooden quilt rack with patchwork quilts.
