15" (39 cm.) Bisque socket head with plump cheeks, painted brown downcast eyes with heavy upper eyelids and black upper eyeliner, one-stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with center accent line, brunette mohair braided wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, antique schoolgirl costume. Marks: K*R 101 39. Condition generally excellent, few typical wig pulls at back of head (under wig). Comments: Kammer and Reinhardt, circa 1910, from the firm's art character series, marketed as "Gretchen". Value Points: well-modeled pouting expression, rarer brown eyes, original body and body finish, original wig.
