All-brown stockinette doll with firmly stitch-shaped facial features,flat button eyes having painted borders and whites and being centered by black shoe button eyes,embroidered brows,well-formed lips,black wool yarn looped hair,stitch jointing at shoulders,hips and knees,mitten hands with defined thumbs,antique red cotton dress with feather stitching,undergarments,wool stockings,boots,lace cap,and vintage photograph pin. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: American,circa 1890. Value Points: especially creative use of found materials such as wonderful eyes; included with the doll is a knit soldier doll with red knit uniform and wonderful striped stockings and cap,black moustache.
