Description
28" (71 cm.) All-cloth doll with flat-dimensional face and back of
head,having inset side panel to give dimension to the head,oil-
painted short brown curly hair in side-parted fashion,outlined
pale blue eyes with shaded irises and grey eye shadow,brush-
stroked brows,outlined nose,closed mouth with wistful accent line
between the shaded lips,stitch jointing at shoulders,elbows,hips
and knees with separately-stitched elongated fingers,antique
costume including velvet bonnet. Condition: generally excellent.
Comments: American,circa 1890. Value Points: very expressive face
achieved by artistic painting of eyes and blushed lips and cheeks;
included is lithographed cloth kitten.
