28" (71 cm.) All-cloth doll with stitched-on head whose ovoid
facial shape is formed by a seam line at the chin,flat-dimensional
face with brown-shaded hair framing the face,stitched-on ears at
the side seams,oil-painted complexion and features,large brown
eyes,thick dark upper eyeliner,grey eye shadow,outlined brows and
nose,painted lips with accented and shaded detail,stitch jointing
at shoulders,elbows,hips and knees,stitched fingers and separate
thumbs,antique costume. Condition: generally excellent except
patching to body. Comments: American,circa 1880,Value Points: a
portrait-like expression on the oil-painted doll with subtle
shading of features,the doll carries a handmade stockinette doll.
