Of serge-like cotton,the doll has flat-dimensional face with side seam and center back seam,and is sewn-attached at mid-torso to lower torso,stitch jointing at shoulders,hips and knees with stitch-defined fingers and large separate thumb,with oil-painted complexion,facial features and softly-curled light brown hair,painted blue eyes,long lashes,feathered brows,outlined nose,closed mouth with accented lips,blushed cheeks. Condition: generally excellent,light touch-up on chin area. Comments: American,late 19th century,this doll and the following two are of identical construction and have identical beautifully-made costumes,likely being family-made pattern dolls for three child sisters.
