20" (51 cm.) Cloth doll with distinctively shaped stitched-on head having flat-dimensional face,gathered at the crown,very full back of head in classic Columbian Doll style,oil-painted brown curly hair,complexion and facial features,outlined blue eyes with accent dots,outlined nose and painted mouth,stitch-jointed shoulders and elbows,elongated stitch-jointed legs. Condition: generally excellent,legs are replacements. Comments: Columbian Doll,by Emma Adams,circa 1892. Value Points: fine original facial painting,antique schoolboy costume with football pin,and carries mohair piglet with blue glass eyes by Steiff.
