30" (76 cm.) All-cloth homespun doll with one-piece head and
torso,flat-dimensional face and back of head with inset pie-shaped
panels at each side giving shape to the head,oil-painted facial
features and hair,painted brown side-parted hair with short curls
in front of each well-defined outline of ears,painted brown
eyes,defined upper eyeliner,brows,nostrils,closed mouth with
center accent line,stitch jointing at shoulders,elbows,hips and
knees,mitten hands,antique black schoolboy costume,white
shirt,socks,red leather shoes,and a bevy of antique pins and
badges including badge of the reunion of Old Settlers. Condition:
generally excellent. Comments: American,late 19th century,the doll
depicts a nicely groomed gentleman schoolboy with fine detail
painting of hair and features.
