23" (58 cm.) All-cloth doll with flat-dimensional face and hair stretched around a muslin head form and stitched together at the back,oil-painted features including brown curly hair including long ringlet curls down the sides of face,outlined brown eyes with white eye dots,fringed brows,outlined nose,closed mouth,jointed arms,stitch jointing at hips and knees. Condition: generally excellent,some restoration to body. Comments: American,circa 1885. Value Points: the features are well preserved and artistically rendered,the doll wears red woolen jacket and sunbonnet,woolen plaid skirt,boots,and carries red velvet purse.
