Description
14" (36 cm.) Firmly-stuffed elongated head with flat-dimensional
face and oil-painted complexion and features,large upper-glancing
outlined blue eyes in half-circle shape,brows,outlined nose,small
mouth with lip separation,blushed cheeks and painted ears,with
sewn-on blonde mohair wig in long braid,firmly-stuffed cloth torso
and leg,muslin upper arms,kidskin lower arms with separated hand-
sewn fingers. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: the
construction indicates small-cottage commercial
production,although the maker is a mystery,early 1900s. Value
Points: enchanting details of painted eyes and outlined
ears,unusual wig,and wearing original costume with matching cap.
