27" (69 cm.) All-cloth doll with side-seamed head attached in an unusual V-shaped seam in torso,flat-dimensional face with oil-painted rosy complexion and features,outlined blue eyes,feathered brows,outlined nose,closed mouth with two upper and two lower painted teeth,outlined shape of face,painted ears,stitched-on brunette wig,rag-filled cloth body,stitch-jointed shoulders and hips with very short arms and legs. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: American,circa 1900,the doll depicts a cheerful girl,with appealing rosy complexion,unusual painting of features,antique costume including bonnet and brooch,and holding her own little doll with hand-painted features.
