All-cloth doll with back head seam that extends over the crown,flat-dimensional face with brown painted short curly hair with blonde highlights,shaded complexion,large blue shaded eyes with black upper eyeliner,defined brows and outlined nose,closed mouth with outlined lips,muslin body with stitch jointing at shoulders,hips and knees,mitten hands with defined thumbs,oil-painted lower arms and legs,antique costume with brooch pin,undergarments. Condition: generally excellent,some body wear. Comments: American,circa 1888. The doll has provenance ink-lettered on its back "Rosa Pink June 1888,My Mama is Amy (name indecipherable)". Value Points: very dear doll with wonderfully painted hair and features,great costume,provenance.
