Description
9" (23 cm.) Very firmly stuffed grey woolen elephant with stitched-
on ears and white woolen tusks,has metal shoe button eyes and
original red felt blanket with scalloped edge. Possibly inspired by
the Margeurite Steiff pincushion elephant pattern published by
Modenwelt magazine in 1879. Good condition except arthritic front
legs. Late 19th century.
