26" (66 cm.) All-cloth doll with oil-painted flat-dimensional
canvas face stitch-attached to the muslin head,oil-painted brown
curly hair and facial features,large blue eyes with dark
outline,mauve-blushed eye shadow,outlined brows and nose,accented
nostrils,shaded outlined lips,muslin body with stitch jointing at
shoulders and knees,sewn-on throat edging,mitten hands with
separate thumbs,nice antique
costume,undergarments,shoes,socks,bonnet. Condition: generally
excellent. Comments: American,circa 1880. Value Points: very fine
artistry of facial painting,in the manner of framed portrait
paintings,on the fine larger doll.
