31" (79 cm.) Solid domed carved wooden head with long narrow face
and throat,painted brown eyes with dark eyeliner and
brows,pronounced nose with coral-shaded nostrils,sculpted
ears,very wide mouth in downcast pose designed with movable lower
lip and jaw,black wiry hair,straw-filled muslin torso,brown muslin
straw-filled limbs with carved wooden lower hands,and disc screw-
jointed hips. Condition: generally excellent. Comments:
American,late 19th century,Value Points: compelling highly-
characterized pouting model with original painted finish and
wearing wonderful antique costume and jewelry.
