Description
14" (36 cm.) -16". Each is a cut,stuffed and stitched doll with printed lithographed face,hair and costume depicting a young boy. Condition: very good,some dustiness,repair on one boy. Comments: Ida Gutsell,her printed dolls were patented in 1893; of particular importance in her patent was the design of forward-facing feet for realism. Value Points: included is her blue-suited boy with removable jacket,and two brown-complexioned boys marketed as "Darkey",produced by Cocheco Manufacturing from Ida Gutsell designs.
