Description
29" (74 cm.) Solid domed paper-mache shoulder head with strong
elongated throat,black painted hair close to head with looped wave
in front of sculpted ears,black enamel inset eyes,painted facial
features,closed mouth,old muslin stitch-jointed body,leather arms.
Condition: very good,original finish with some fading of
features,some craquelure at back of hair. Comments: Germany,circa
1840,an early model with strong and appealing personality,the doll
wears wonderful original costume of wools and cotton,great shoes
with thick leather soles. Ex-collection Legoland Museum of Antique
Dolls and Toys.
