Description
35" (89 cm.) A carved wooden toy horse with painted finish rests
upon a wooden platform with spring attachment allowing the horse to
rock back and forth; the horse has an attached upholstered saddle
seat. Marked "Whitney Reed Chair Company of Leominster,Mass". Very
good condition,original played with condition. The Whitney Reed firm
was noted for its production of wooden toys as well as rocking
horses,late 19th century.
