Description
44" (43 cm.) l. The carved wooden horse with cream hide finish is
posed upon a wooden platform with heavy cast iron spoked
wheels,having leather ears,horsehair mane and tail,painted black
hooves,painted open mouth with defined teeth,and very elaborately-
arranged leather harness and leather-strap bells. Very good
condition,wear to hide at saddle area. The maker is unknown,although
the very large presentation size suggests its original use as an
exhibition model,late 1800s. Wonderful and very rare Americana.
