Very firm press-shaped stockinette cloth shoulder head with very plump cheeks,painted brown hair in dapper style with center part,blue eyes,brown outlined eyes,single stroke brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth with accented lips,rag-stuffed muslin body with stitch-jointed shoulders,hips and knees,oil-painted fingers with stitched fingers and separate thumbs,antique costume,rare hat,medallion,shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: American,circa 1875,the doll appears to be commercial,maker is unknown. Value Points: rare doll with original finish,expressive features,very stylized sturdy construction.
