14" (36 cm.) Straw-filled shaded brown plush teddy bear has swivel head and jointed limbs,firm armature head with cut-open eye sockets and mouth,inset movable eyes and tongue,painted teeth. Condition: generally excellent,growler not working. Marks: "Peter" Ges Gesch Nr. 895 257 (original paper label). Comments: Germany,Gebruder Sussenguth,1925,the premier model of the rare bear was presented in the Leipzig Toy Fair of 1925,advertised as "the great novelty" with movable tongue and eyes designed to move side-to-side in unison. Value Points: near pristine condition of the unplayed with and very rare bear,produced for two or three years only,this example with original paper tag and original labeled box.
