17" (43 cm.) Each has ball-shaped muslin head with stitched-on cap with ruffled edge,simple painted hair and facial features,muslin stitch jointing at shoulders,elbows,hips and knees,stitched fingers and separate thumbs,antique costumes. Condition: faces are very faded and indistinct,with some spotting overall. Comments: Moravian Society dolls,inspired by the original 18th century doll of young Polly Heckewelder,circa 1890. Value Points: sought-after and inspirational dolls.
