Description
12" (30 cm.) -15". Each is one-piece paper-mache with sculpted head
and hat,and having one-piece ball-shaped torso with weighted base
and interior musical works. The toys were designed that,when tipped
to the side,would always regain their upright pose. Condition:
generally excellent. Comments: circa 1900,the popular toy was made
by firms in Germany,France and the United States. Value Points:
retaining vibrant colors of the whimsical and detailed clown
costumes,each with original musical works.
