Firmly stuffed cloth doll in exaggerated oval shape,flat-dimensional face with stitched chin seam,stitched-on shapely ears,oil-painted rosy complexion,thick throat,painted facial features,large blue outlined eyes,single stroke brows,outlined nose,closed mouth with extended center line,blonde mohair wig,stitch jointing at shoulders,elbows,hips and knees,stitch-defined fingers and separate thumb,oil-painted limbs. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: American,circa 1900,the artfully painted doll portrays an older child,and has original finish. Value Points: wonderful expression,original finish,fine antique costume including photographic brooch of a young girl and her dad.
