Description
12" (30 cm.) and 14". Each is of brown cotton cloth with stitch- jointed arms and legs in simple-cut style,the larger with hand- painted features,and the smaller with flat-dimensional stitched-on face with printed facial features,each with antique costume that is likely original. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: the smaller is Babyland Rag,circa 1910; the larger may be early hand- painted Babyland Rag,circa 1890. Value Points: well-preserved pair of rare models,the hand-painted doll with exceptional detail of exuberant lashes,and double row of defined teeth between delightedly-smiling lips.
