Dark brown cotton sateen doll with flat-dimensional face having varnished finish with oil-painted features,outlined brown eyes in half moon shape with white eye dots,black brows,defined nose,painted lips with pale pink-shaded lower lip,black wiry hair,stitch-jointing at shoulders,elbows,hips,and knees,mitten-shaped hands,blue sewn-on stockings,painted brown shoes,antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: New Orleans Rag Doll by Maud Witherspoon,circa 1900. Value Points: hard to find doll with finely-crafted painting.
