Description
12" (30 cm.) Firmly stuffed stockinette doll depicting a portly
gentleman with stitched and painted features,one eye painted as
though winking,stitched hole in mouth for cigar,stitched-on
ears,very plump stomach,wire armature arms and legs,paper-mache
feet with painted ankles,stitched fingers. Condition: generally
excellent. Comments: from a series of men dolls presented in the
1927 Kammer and Reinhardt catalog,described as "highly original
character dolls". Value Points: all-original and rare-to-find doll
in fine original condition,original costume,amusing expression.
