22" (56 cm.) Bisque socket head,deep brown glass paperweight inset
eyes,thick dark eyeliner,painted dark curly lashes,shaded
nostrils,closed mouth with defined space between the shaded and
outlined lips,separately modeled pierced ears,original Jumeau
mohair wig over cork pate,French composition and wooden fully
jointed body with straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent.
Marks: Depose E 10 J (and artist checkmarks,head) Jumeau Medaille
d'Or Paris (body). Comments: Emile Jumeau,the refined deposed
model of his initial-signature bebe,E.J.,circa 1884. Value Points:
very beautiful gleaming bisque with rich brown eyes that are
enhanced by mauve eye shadow,fine shaded lips,original body and
body finish,wearing fine antique red silk bebe dress with lace
trim,undergarments,red woven bonnet,socks,cream kidskin boots by
Alart marked 12 and with full figure of doll.
