16" (41 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder
plate,very full cheeks,large brown glass inset eyes,dark
eyeliner,lushly painted lashes,rose-blushed eye lids,cheeks and
chin,accent dots at eye corners and nostrils,closed mouth with
defined space between the outlined downcast lips,pierced
ears,blonde mohair wig,kid bebe body with gusset-jointing at hips
and knees,and bisque hands and lower arms. Condition: generally
excellent. Marks: 7. Comments: Sonneberg,mystery maker,circa
1882,the doll was inspired by circle/dot model of Leon Casimir Bru
which it closely resembles. Value Points: gorgeous doll with
dramatic sculpting and painting,original sturdy body and bisque
hands,beautiful antique costume.
