14" (36 cm.) Sculpted head with painted complexion and facial
features,inset sockets with brown painted eyes,closed mouth with
downcast lips,firmly-stuffed cloth body,wearing original folklore
costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Mo project WPA
(original paper label). Comments: American,circa 1935,from the
Missouri workshops of the WPA artist project. Value Points: highly
characterized face with artistic painting.
